- Try to schedule focus time at routine times each week
- Set focus times at peak productivity time (specific to each client)
- Try to schedule available blocks of time that are 2 hours or more (between 1-3 hours recommended)
- Protecting focus time
- Biggest focus time disruptors: phone calls, emails/email alerts, toggling between apps, talking with coworkers, social media/unrelated internet searches, messaging apps (Slack, WhatsApp) and text messages
- Take breaks after sprints of work during focus time so brain does not burn out
- E.g., work for 30 minutes, take break for 5 minutes
